Dr. Julia McClanahan - Principal

My name is Dr. Julia McClanahan, and I am excited to serve Woodfields this year as principal. I am proud of the growth our school has shown over recent years, and I am proud to be a part of the continued growth as we set the bar even higher this year.
I am a product of Greenwood District 50 having grown up in Greenwood. Before first serving as assistant principal at Woodfields for the past several years, I taught at Brewer Middle School for eight years and Woodfields for three years. I also taught in Florence 3 and Laurens 56 school districts. I have an undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston in Studio Art, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Lander University, an Education Specialist degree in Supervision and Administration from Clemson University, and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from Clemson University. I am married, and we have two sons, a labradoodle named Barkley, and a longhaired chihuahua named Oscar.
My goal for Woodfields Elementary School is to promote and encourage a culture of high expectations in all persons and in all that we do. If we set the bar high, we can and will reach our full potential.
